2016 Color of the Year

posted by Eddy Homes

Here at Eddy Homes, we are not strangers to luxury or comfort, but how do we create these luxurious escapes from our day-to-day stress? Whirl Magazine remarks on Eddy’s amazing ability to customize homes so clients can find “any style of home that speaks to them”. But at Eddy Homes, we think it is more than the style that creates the sanctuary; it is the colors that you surround yourself with that create the space.

For inspiration and expert ideas, Eddy Homes looks to PPG Paint to transform our beautiful houses into comfortable homes. PPG Paint is our go-to company for stunning and timeless colors in our homes. Our personal paint expert, Dee Schlotter chooses colors that not only enhance the space but also enhance our clients’ moods. Color can really affect your mood, whether on the walls or on your throw pillows. For instance, if you are looking for a calming retreat then blues are the way to go, but if you are looking to have a joyful room full of energy, then maybe you should be searching in the yellows.

However, at Eddy Homes we are always following what’s trending and we think that the 2016 Color of the Year is unique yet classic! If you’re looking to make a statement, while also keeping it somewhat neutral, then PPG Paints 2016 Color of the Year, Paradise Found is perfect. It is an organic, neutral green with a lot of gray and a hint of blue. This color is so versatile that it works as both an interior and exterior paint. PPG’s says, “The traditional green was inspired by consumers search for stability and comfort in a changing world”. Reminiscent of nature’s greens and a nod to the military, it evokes “personal strength, safety, and security”. If you’re looking for fresh energy this year, then consider using paint to transform your home, and more importantly look to the Paradise Found paint color.
